Plugin Description
The AD-DA.ca FlexFader Q-SYS Plugin provides a flexible and customizable fader control interface for Matrix Mixer components within the Q-SYS ecosystem. This plugin enables system integrators and AV professionals to create intuitive audio mixing interfaces directly from the Q-SYS Designer, eliminating the need for complex scripting or external control solutions.
By leveraging this plugin, Q-SYS users gain centralized control over multiple audio channels with configurable fader banks, customizable control behaviors, and optional audio metering. Properties
License
Type: String
Default value: Empty
Description: License key activated for the main core.
Licenses are issued on a "per core" basis, as in each core needs its own license to run as many instances of the plugin as needed on this particular core and licenses are not transferable from core to core.
License keys can be added while in Offline mode, in the Properties pane on the right. To purchase licenses, go to https://ad-da.ca.
The plugin can be emulated for free, allowing you to prepare everything without requiring you to have access to a core.
License Backup
Type: String
Default value: Empty
Description: License key activated for the backup core.
If your main Q-SYS Core fails, the backup Core automatically takes over without needing a license to function as a temporary replacement. However, if the design boots from the backup Core, a valid license is required. Additionally, if the backup Core is restarted (due to power loss or other reasons), the plugin instances cannot initialize without a valid license.

Fader Count
Type: Integer (1-12)
Specifies the number of fader channels available in the plugin interface. Default value is 12.
Customize Controls
Type: Boolean
When enabled, reveals additional customization options for fader controls including Value, Label, and Mute behavior settings.

Value
Type: Enum (Read, Read/Write)
Determines whether the fader value control is read-only or read/write. Available when Customize Controls is enabled.
Label
Type: Enum (Read, Read/Write)
Determines whether the channel label control is read-only or read/write. Available when Customize Controls is enabled.
Mute
Type: Enum (Normal, Inverted)
Configures mute button behavior. "Normal" follows standard mute logic; "Inverted" reverses the mute state. Available when Customize Controls is enabled.

Metering
Type: Boolean
When enabled, adds audio metering controls and audio pins for visual signal monitoring.
Mono Input
Type: Integer (0-512)
Number of mono input channels for metering. Enter the same value as configured in your Matrix Mixer. Default is 12.
Stereo Input
Type: Integer (0-252)
Number of stereo input channels for metering. Enter the same value as configured in your Matrix Mixer. Input meters are pre-fader.
Mono Output
Type: Integer (0-512)
Number of mono output channels for metering. Enter the same value as configured in your Matrix Mixer.
Stereo Output
Type: Integer (0-252)
Number of stereo output channels for metering. Output meters are post-fader.

Indicates the current operational status of the plugin.
OK : The plugin is operating normally.

Text field used to define the channel selection pattern for the Matrix Mixer. Supports pattern syntax for flexible channel targeting.

Bank Previous
Button-Trigger
Button to navigate to the previous bank of channels.
Bank Index
Text-Text Edit
Displays and allows direct entry of the current bank index position.
Bank Next
Button-Trigger
Button to navigate to the next bank of channels.
Fader Controls (per channel)
ChX Index
Indicator-Text
Displays the Matrix Mixer channel index currently assigned to this fader position.
ChX Plus
Button-Momentary
Momentary button to increment the fader value.
ChX Value
Knob-Integer (0-100)
Fader control for adjusting the channel level. Range is 0-100%.
ChX Minus
Button-Momentary
Momentary button to decrement the fader value.
ChX Mute
Button-Toggle
Toggle button to mute/unmute the channel.
ChX Label
Text-Text Edit
Text field displaying or editing the channel label.
